50th Reunion

Thanks to the committee

First I would like to personally thank to reunion committee for your work and dedication over the years to hold this together. It takes time and effort and I am sure everyone appreciates your work even if they can't make it. I had attended a couple of the early reunions over the years but things sometimes get in the way like health, other commitments, last second problems and brain cramps.

I believe it was the 40th reunion that I attempted to come to. When I got to the Inn I went into the event room that was filled with people, looked around and recognized no one. Not a big surprise but no table for iD's etc. So I went to the reception desk and asked what room the SHS reunion was in. The woman looked at me funny and said "Oh that is next Saturday ". Feeling kinda stupid I went home. The following Saturday I had a call from a friend whose car broke down on their way home from NYC. I rented a trailer and drove to somewhere, NY, loaded the car and drove them home.

Six months or so ago I went to a Dr's appointment in Dover. Turns out I had the time wrong and had a couple hours to kill. Remembering my favorite thing to eat I headed to Harvey's Bakery. I ordered six filled maple rounds explaining to the woman behind the counter that my aunt used to work at Harvey's in Rochester when I was kid and used to give me one if I went in. She said she also grew up in Rochester. I said did you go to Spaulding and she said yes. I asked her what year she graduated and she said 1974. I said me too. She asked my name and I told her and she said I know you, not telling me hers. I asked her name and she said Julie Dostie and I said "I know you". She asked if I was going to the reunion and I said "when is it". Apparently my address keeps getting lost but I have lived in the same place since 1984. Who knows, but thanks to my sweet tooth I am hoping to show up. It's this coming Saturday, right?
