50th Reunion

Public·72 members

What happened to all of us?

Our class had over 500 students when we started and we graduated more than 300. I know we're getting old, but to have fewer than 100 come to the reunion seems like a huge loss. I know some have passed, some can't afford/don't want to travel, and some just don't travel (i.e. Nancy Gray: I just recently found her on Facebook after trying to track her down for years). I'm sure some were disappointed/disillusioned at past reunions, but two-thirds aren't coming back for our 50th? That seems like a lot. My husband's class was 109, and I think about 75 went to his 50th.

I agree, Carol. We've been doing all we can to generate the interest and attendance. I encourage everyone to continue reaching out to classmates and have them to join us.

As of Monday, 8/5, we were at 122 people, with 72 classmates. Rainy has indications of others who will be attending. Assume at least 130, it is 55 more than we had at the 45th.

So please continue to get the word out!
